Melissa is an herbalist, a doula, and a mother of three.

Melissa has traveled and lived all over this land we call America.  Born overlooking the Pacific Ocean, raised along the Ohio River, studied in the mountains of West Virginia…traveled the highways a few times, back and forth…fell in love with the Northwest, birthed a family and studied some more near the Chesapeake Bay…and now finally, has settled here in Seattle.  And found a home at Rainbow Remedies.
Melissa began her herbal knowledge through becoming a mother; and while living on the East coast, furthered her herbal medicine education at Tai Sophia Institute.  She also found her passion for home birth growing each time she herself grew pregnant with child, and dreams of someday becoming a midwife.

She loves to revel in life’s absurdity with others, find ways to make the suffering bearable…often through a good loud laugh, and play wiffle ball with her husband and children at Seward Park.
